Entrance To Another World

One day I was passing a tree trunk and it's bark kind of looked like a gate.

I immediately imagined what it would look like if it indeed WAS an entrance to antother world.
Inspired by Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter, I went out to shoot all the elements I would need for this composition.

Putting everything together took me several month, due to the fact that I often would begin to implement some pieces, only to delete or replace them later, because I wasn't sure in which way I wanted this picture to go.
Furthermore I knew from the beginning that I needed to blur many elements in the end to make them blend in with the photo of the tree trunk itself. Therefore I was very cautious about the way I created and arranged my project file so that I would be able to access and edit every single element at any time in a non destructive way.
